The ASSET Inter-School Sports Competition 2024-2025, part of the Believe You Can initiative, was a resounding success, showcasing the athletic talents of students across Chennai. Organized by Seek Foundation in association with FEFDY Curriculum, this year’s competition was held on two separate dates and venues: the girls’ events took place on 9th and 10th August 2024 at St. Britto’s College and St. Britto’s Academy, while the boys’ events were held on 17th August 2024 at A.M. Jain College, Meenambakkam.
The competition drew an impressive participation, with 36 schools and 1,038 participants for the girls’ events, and 60 schools with 2,162 participants for the boys’. The format was designed to test the skill and endurance of the participants, starting with knockout rounds on Day 1, followed by Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Finals on Day 2.
The ASSET competition featured a diverse range of nine sports, including Basketball, Football, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Handball, and Throwball, providing a comprehensive platform for students to demonstrate their athletic abilities. The event was divided into A Division and B Division, across Senior and Super-Senior categories, ensuring a fair and competitive environment.
The event brought together schools from various educational boards, including Matriculation, CBSE, and State Board, creating a unified sports platform in Chennai. The seamless organization and successful execution of the ASSET competition highlight the commitment of Seek Foundation and FEFDY Curriculum to fostering sportsmanship and teamwork among young students. This year’s ASSET competition was not just a display of athletic skill but also a celebration of unity and competitive spirit, marking it as one of the most impactful sports events of the year.
