On the 2nd and 3rd of August, 2024, Seek Foundation, in collaboration with the FEFDY Curriculum, hosted the prestigious Believe You Can (BYC) 2024 Interschool Competition at St Britto’s Academy. This grand event, aimed at fostering intellectual growth and cultural exchange among students, was divided into two main segments: Young Forum and Royal Gridlock. The Young Forum focused on intellectual competitions, attracting participation from 17 schools, while Royal Gridlock featured cultural performances with 18 schools competing for honors.
The event kicked off on 2nd August at 9:00 AM with a grand inaugural function. The ceremony opened with a soulful prayer song, followed by a reading from the scriptures, setting a reflective tone for the day. The lighting of the traditional kuthuvilakku marked the official commencement of the competition, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment.
The audience was treated to an invocation dance that showcased the cultural diversity of the students. This was followed by a warm welcome speech and an inspirational address by the Principal. Detailed instructions and venue guidelines were provided by the Academic Head – Prefects, ensuring that all participants were well-informed for the day’s events. Students from the participating schools displayed outstanding enthusiasm and competitive spirit as they took part in a variety of intellectual challenges.
The valedictory function on the evening of 2nd August was a highlight of the event. It was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Racha Aribarg, Royal Thai Consulate General, and Dr. Vimala Rani Britto, Founder of Seek Foundation and Author of the FEFDY Curriculum. The ceremony began with a solemn prayer song, creating a reflective ambiance. In his address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of unity in diversity and motivated the students to focus on their aspirations and goals.
The event concluded with an exciting award distribution ceremony, where the achievements of the participants were celebrated. The atmosphere was charged with joy and pride as the overall winners of the Young Forum were announced:
