SEEK FOUNDATION in association with Changua Christian Mission Hospital, Taiwan organized Free Medical Camp at Kannigapuram in Vyasarpadi on 7th September 2018 from 10.00 am till 2.00 pm at with the support of PRIST Medical College and University. More than 300 people attended the camp and benefitted by the consultation and medicines given by the Doctors of CCMH and PRIST.
SEEK FOUNDATION in association with Changua Christian Mission Hospital, Taiwan organized Free Medical Camp at Palleswaram in Uthiramerur on 6th September 2018 from 10.00 am till 2.00 pm at with the support of Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Medical college Hospital . The 4 doctors and 4 staff from Changua Christian Mission Hospital were given warm welcome by the people of the village. More than 275 people- combination of men, women and children attended the camp and benefitted by the consultation and medicines given by the Doctors of CCMH and MAMH. Scouts and Guides of Students of St. Britto’s Academy contributed to organising the crowd, facilitating conversations between the villagers and the doctors from aboard and assisting the children from the primary school in the village to respond to the doctors.
Students belonging to Std 4,5,6,7 and 8-aged between 8-13, of St.Britto’s Academy conducted “SEEK- Believe You can” Competitions for students of Primary schools in Edambadur Village , Kancheepuram District on 6th Saptember, 2018. Students actively engaged themselves in the programme to commemorate SEEK Founder’s day. Art, Dance, Communication Skills, Sports competitions and games were conducted. Prizes were awarded to the winners.
Students of St. Britto’s Academy gifted stationary pouches, comprising all writing needs of a student to all the children of the primary school and wished them success in their forthcoming Terminal Examination.
Integrated Agricultural Activities were implemented with a full swing on 06.09.2018 comprising of trees, goats, chickens along with a solid block manufacturing unit at Ammaiyappanallur. Trees -Coconut -10, Teak wood -30, Guava-12,Jack Fruit -2, Amla -10, Poovarasam – 7, Badam-2, Mango-2 Planted 10 coconut trees, 30 teak wood were planted in a farm land , Number of chickens-150, Goats-27 were led into the enclosures. This model of Integrated approach received great appreciation from the Guest, Dr. Charles Li, Consulate General of Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in Chennai. He lauded the efforts of the founder and discussed in detail the methodology adopted in order to emulate it in more areas for better development of the villages in a sustainable way.
National “CSR” Leadership Congress , brought together many leaders from different fraternities in Bangalore on 05th September 2018. Leaders from various spectrums shared their idea towards making the world a better place to live in. , Mrs Vimala Britto, Founder, Seek Foundation was one of the panellists who spoke about ‘ The Future of National Service ‘. In her session she emphasised the urgent need for a radical change in humanity and humanitarian outlook – a transition from technology to human centeredness and how it should evolve as the focus today in any service . Her session was appreciated by the eminent panellists and the audience.
We are happy and proud to announce the excellent performance of our Para Olympic sportsmen, Mr. Vijayasarathi, Mr. Manoj & Mr. B. Manoj who have bagged one Gold medal each in the events held at Indian Open Para Athletic Championship held at Bangalore on 12.07.2018. SEEK foundation identified the potential of these differently abled and has motivated them by sponsoring their training and development and has also funded their participation and travelling expenses . SEEK has also provided them with employment at the administrative office.
Under Rural Women Employment scheme, women are empowered to produce home products such as phenyl, detergent liquid,powder and incense sticks and the products are on display and sale at St. Britto’s academy campus. Support the cause of educating and empowering the economically and socially weaker sectors of the society.
HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAM
Towards forming a healthier society by propagating preventive measures, Seek foundation initiated with Health camp tour in the month of July in various villages. The objective of the foundation is to educate and make the people aware of how to take proper care of their health. These health awareness programs are conducted to impart health education on preventive and promotive health grounds by organizing various health camps at regular intervals are targeted towards providing health solutions. These camps are aimed at generating awareness, diagnosis, and treatment of numerous health hazards. The health camps are organized for Malaria, Dengue, Breast cancer, self-hygiene and illness prevention. The session also educates the people about the Health schemes provided by the Health Department for women.
9th July at Poonthandalam
- Over 40 end user, who participated in the drive, we’re taught about the preventive measures.
- Deepa Laxmi & Dr. Prasanna of Tamil Nadu Health Department, Uthramerur Block, Kanchipuram district Manamathi Health Centre were the facilitators for the day.
17th July at Nagamedu
- The village comprising of 45 families.
- Sowmya from Health Department explained about the first aid and health-related issues that are prevailing in the village.
- There were about 30 women participate in this awareness program.
19th July at Pulipakkam
- Bharathithasan and Dr. Perumal Health Inspector, and his team were facilitators. The participants were taught about the communicable and noncommunicable disease. They were given awareness about breast cancer.
- Following the session, medicines were distributed to the participants.
23rd July at Edayambudur
- Over 140 women and few men participated in the camp.
- Nurse Kalaiselvi explained about the self Hygiene and preventive measures for Dengue.
26th July at Kilakkadi
- 65 working women participated.
- Health inspector explained about the awareness program and preventive measures for Dengue.
- Bhuvaneshwari, Seek Foundation volunteer motivated the people for small-scale business activities.
- Following the session, medicines were distributed to the participants.
27th July at Pennalur
Health awareness programme was conducted at Pennalur on 27th July Friday . About 90 women participated with great enthusiasm. Doctor Lokesh from Tamil Nadu Health department explained about first aid and health issues faced by women. Free medicines were distributed to the needy. Mrs, Jeyalakshmi explained the various small scale business ventures introduced by SEEK foundation for women empowerment in the neighbouring villages and urged the people to involve in these training programs for the betterment of the economic situation of the village.

The complete health awareness programme is focused towards making rural people aware of how they can maintain a healthy lifestyle while undertaking various preventive measures.
