ROYAL GRIDLOCK 2022 – OFFLINE

ROYAL GRIDLOCK 2022 – An Cultural event was organized by Seek Foundation in association with St Britto’s Group of Institutions on 22nd November 2022. The theme invokes sportive spirit among the students in and around the city and has created a platform to showcase their talents.

The various events under Royal Gridlock are dance, music, drama, art, cookery, channel surfing, Adzap, lawyer up, 2 minutes to fame, etc. The event started at 9:30 am and was diligently organized within St Britto’s Academy, Velachery. The judges appointed by the management for the various events were well-equipped in the field of art and music. They appreciated the vibrant performances of the students and declared the winners in the Valedictory function.

The cultural fest revealed many aspects of our culture and traditions. Indeed it was a glorious event! We look ahead to the upcoming year.

Childrens day 2022

Children’s Day is celebrated every year on the 14th of November. Seek Foundation organized a Children’s week celebration in all their Seek Edu Centres. It believes in enlightening children’s life. This day lays great importance on the children and therefore we can make this day great by making children happy.

The children’s week celebration started on 10th November. Each day tutors from all the Seek Edu centers planned and motivated the child to participate in the events organized. There were various competitions like Dancing, Singing, Role Play, and Drawing.

The main aim of the celebration is to identify the children’s talent which is not recognized in their school. This makes the child build self-confidence, explore their talent and enhance their skills.

YOUNG FORUM 2022 – OFFLINE

Young Forum 2022 – An Intellectual Competition (Offline) was organized on 11th November 2022 with a plethora of activities. After three years, Seek Foundation in association with St. Britto’s Group of Institutions organized an event Offline this year.

The Inaugural function was started with the prayer song by the choir group of St. Britto’s School followed by lighting the lamp by the Principal and Senior Vice Principal of St Britto’s Academy, Velachery.

YOUNG FORUM comprises competitions such as Story Telling, Role-play, Recitation, Poetry writing, Talk show, PowerPoint presentation, and Infographics at different levels from Kindergarten till Std XII, paving the way for Knowledge enrichment, transcending from Knowledge to Creation.

On set, fourteen events were conducted in different venues. All the events were executed systematically as planned. Sixteen schools participated in and around Chennai – More than 250 students participated enthusiastically in all the events and 100+ participants won the trophies.

June Batch Evaluation – Seek Tailoring Centre

Seek Tailoring Centre, June batch 2022 evaluation was planned for two days 27th & 28th October 2022. The evaluation was conducted in all the centers and students were divided into two batches.

Ms. Kamilini, the designer was the external evaluator for the evaluation. The students were asked technical questions to test their skills. The Assessment is for 100 marks which includes Internal 50 marks and external 50 marks. It is a six months training program. The training covers all aspects of stitching, pricing techniques, machine handling, and maintenance. This training helps women to earn income for their families and be independent.

SPLASH 2022

SPLASH 2022 – Interschool swimming competition was held on 15th October 2022 and organized by Seek Foundation at ST. BRITTOS ACADEMY. Participants from 86 schools participated in about 74 events comprising 5 different categories namely Freestyle, Breast stroke, Back stroke, Butterfly stroke, and Relay. This competition develops coordination skills, improves sensory and situational awareness, targets a cool mindset, promotes time management, ensures teamwork, and maintains good health and well-being.

Seek Tailoring centre June Batch – Students work

Here is a glimpse of the June batch students’ work at Seek Tailoring unit.Our students from various Tailoring centers have almost come to the end of their course duration. They are getting ready for their final evaluation which is scheduled for the first week of November. During the course, they have been taught all features of stitching including stitching of Saree blouses, baby
Frocks, Salwar Kameez, Embroidery work, etc.

Venture – PANCHAYAT UNION PRIMARY SCHOOL

VENTURE 2022 – An initiative by SEEK FOUNDATION. VENTURE – is an event comprising of sports, cultural and Intellectual events conducted by SEEK FOUNDATION for all the schools in rural areas. On 22nd July 2022 we conducted a sports event in PANCHAYAT UNION PRIMARY SCHOOL, MOOVARASAMPET for classes I to V std. The Physical Education Department, In-charge teachers, and the Scouts from St. Britto’s Academy involved themselves to organize, coordinate and execute the competition by setting the standards and rules of each game. The winners of sports events were awarded medals, certificates, and momentos. We also organized a competition for the teachers of the school.

Don Gunaella Special School

We are blessed and happy to share that we have adopted three tutors from Don Guanella Special School, Poonamalle on June 28th, 2022. The primary aim of the school is to give Special Education, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Sensational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Vocational Training, Sports, games, and Yoga Exercise for better living. Our Founder Dr. Vimala Rani Britto’s vision is to provide education to all children and give special attention to socially neglected, mentally challenged children.

Dr. Vimala Rani Britto, the founder of Seek Foundation, shared her journey of how Seek Foundation has started and celebrates its 10th year. The foundation provides life-changing support to more than 1000 women. The celebration continues by motivating the women who have been trained at Seek Tailoring centre from various centres like Edamachi, keelakadi, Thirupulivanam, Manamathi. More than 120 women were honored with their course completion certificates.

Edamachi November Batch 2021 – Evaluation

Seek Tailoring Centre, Edamachi November batch 2021 has come to an end. It is a six months training program. The training covers all aspects of stitching, pricing techniques, machine handling, and maintenance. This training helps women to earn income for their families and be independent.

The Evaluation was planned for two days 31st March and 1st April 2022. Students are divided into two batches for evaluation. Students were asked to stitch Frocks for toddlers, the time given was one hour. The evaluator asked viva for the students to test their skills. The Assessment was for 50 marks, which includes Internal 20 marks for record and external 30 marks.It is mandatory for all the students to submit the record.
