In a remarkable initiative aimed at empowering tribal communities through sustainable development and welfare programs, Seek Foundation, under the visionary leadership of Dr. Vimala Britto, donated an ambulance, a load vehicle, and multiple tailoring machines — totaling over ₹50 lakhs — to the tribal population of Kotagiri and Gudalur.
The event was held at St. Britto’s Academy, Chennai, in the presence of Mr. Alwas, Secretary of the Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare Association (NAWA), and Dr. Thamas Ponraj, Chief Executive of Seek Foundation. This milestone underscores the Foundation’s continued commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility, livelihood creation, and community welfare in remote tribal areas.
As part of its ongoing outreach, Seek Foundation has already contributed a fully equipped medical ambulance and supported the construction of 20 houses for tribal families in Gudalur, significantly improving both emergency response systems and living standards in the region.
Students of St. Britto’s Academy, along with members from Seek Foundation and NAWA, actively participated in the handover ceremony — reflecting a shared vision of promoting education, health, and social responsibility among communities.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Vimala Britto shared,
“Every small step we take toward community welfare helps build a stronger and more compassionate society. Our goal is to bring essential services, skills, and dignity to underserved communities.”
The event concluded with heartfelt gratitude from tribal beneficiaries and Mr. Alwas, who commended Seek Foundation for its unwavering support and impact in improving the quality of life for the tribal people of the Nilgiris.
Through such sustained efforts, Seek Foundation continues to create pathways for empowerment, sustainability, and hope — transforming lives one initiative at a time.
